Do you have a team?

Not long ago I was having a conversation with fellow entrepreneur. This dialogue between us was so fruitful and encouraging for the both of us. As time went on I felt led to ask her this question.

  • Do you have a team?

That one question led the conversation in a new direction.

I began to share that our businesses are like our babies. We hold them close, we protect them at all costs and we are mindful and careful of who holds them and babysit for us. Even when we know we need help because we just need a break, it may be hard to ask for help.

Being a solo-preneur has its joys and challenges. In order for growth to occur we need a team. Reflect on the questions below and journal your responses.

  • What type of help do I need?

  • Who can I trust to assist me with areas of my business so I can focus on other parts?

  • How often do I need help?

  • What is stopping me from asking for help?/What’s stopping me from hiring help?

  • What is the result of me not getting the help I need?

Whether you are an entrepreneur or not, these questions can be applied to your life.

Essentially, we were not created to do life alone nor business.

Here is a Scripture for your meditation: “Two are better off than one, because together they can work more effectively. If one of them falls down, the other can help him up. But if someone is alone and falls, it's just too bad, because there is no one to help him.” Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 GNB
